A T-Shirt Design Worth Wearing

It’s not uncommon for companies and businesses to order t-shirts and other logo’d apparel, for one reason or another:

  • as a product to sell
  • as part of a uniform look for employees
  • as a gift or reward for workers

No matter what your reason, having a good design is always key – especially if you’re offering these t-shirts up for free to employees. Because if it’s just a way to say “thank you” or “job well done,” the way to make the expense of these t-shirts worth your while is to make sure you’ve created a t-shirt your employees will want to wear outside the office.

When workers wear your company’s design out and about, it’s free advertising. They act as an ambassador and an advertiser for you. But if you’re offering them a free t-shirt – and hoping they’ll wear it without your directive – it has to be something they’ll want to be seen wearing out in public.

A company I used to work for failed miserably with such an attempt several years ago. They created t-shirts for everyone at the office as a reward for some exceptional work. Except the design was embarrassingly cheesy, and not in a cute, funny way. No one wore the t-shirts. (Mine sits in the back of my closet, stained with bleach and paint. I’ve only used it for household chores and home improvement projects.)

But if you offer your employees a snazzy design – something cool, funky, hip, trendy – they’ll want to wear it. Give them something that still advertises your company – but acts as a piece of fashion. Make sure you’re considering the ladies in the office, as well. Women will tell you almost universally: they HATE wearing men’s style, or “unisex” t-shirts. We have a wide variety of t-shirts that come in matching styles for both men and women, as well as a great selection of ladies tees. We even have a range of stylish, trendy designs that are an attractive alternative to the traditional style t-shirt.
