It’s been one heck of a ride this past year for us here at Jag Forms – with business busier than ever since Sara joined the company in April of 2012. After such a big year, we thought we’d look back at some milestones and highlights that we’re thankful for — even as we look ahead to what’s in store for 2015.
January 25, 2014 – Sara got married! Truly a highlight of the year, and a great way to get things started. It was a beautiful day at Timberline Lodge on Oregon’s Mt. Hood, and Sara and Jeff surprised guests with their Blues Brothers-style father-daughter dance.
Summer 2014 – Jag held several “corporate meetings” while boating this summer, getting the most out of Oregon’s short but glorious summer season.
July 14, 2014 – Sara may have just gotten married this year, but Jeff and his wife Laurie celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary over the summer!
August 2014 – Sara joined the Associate Board for SMART (Start Making A Reader Today), an Oregon nonprofit that promotes literacy and pairs volunteer readers with students throughout the state. Sara is a passionate reader, and a longtime advocate for literacy (check out her book blog Novel Novice, if you need proof … or a book recommendation) — so this is a great fit for her.
September 2014 – Jeff attended the alumni weekend for the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, as the co-president of the Portland chapter of the Haas alumni network. Jeff has been active with his alumni association for several years now.
October 25, 2014 – Jeff, Sara & their spouses participated in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s 2014 Light the Night Walk. Though the walk itself was canceled due to extreme weather conditions, we were still able to raise over $1200 for LLS! (Thanks to those of you who donated; you can continue making donations through our team through 1/31/15 if you’re so inclined.) It was an emotionally difficult night for us, but worth it to support such a good cause that is very near and dear to our hearts. (Jeff is a survivor of a non-Hodgkin lymphoma.)
November 20, 2014 – Jag Forms was honored as a finalist in the Excellence in Family Business Awards, for the category of Family Harmony – Emerging Family Business. We were surprised and honored when we were nominated earlier this year, and have been so humbled by the praise we’ve received throughout the entire process.
What an amazing year! We can’t wait to see what 2015 has in store for us — and for you!
