In case you haven’t heard the news, Jag was recently honored as a finalist in the 2014 Excellence in Family Business Awards (presented by OSU’s Austin Family Business Program) for the category of Family Harmony – Emerging Family Business.
We were honored during an awards ceremony back in November, although the process for the awards began almost a year ago — first when we were nominated for the award by a staff member at the Portland Business Alliance. The nomination was followed by an application process, and then we were asked to give a formal presentation to the judging committee. Finally, we learned that we had been chosen as the finalist in our category!
It’s been an amazing experience, and truly humbling … we never thought much about how our business is perceived by outsiders, but it was exciting and touching to get such recognition for the business and family values that we’ve always upheld.
